Basic question from newbie

Hello,

My client needs a website which will enable his customers to access the their own private pages within his website.

This private area will have its own formatting with pictures and modules and allow site owner to post messages onto the page(s). The private areas can only be accessed by customers assigned to their areas and will automatically show a link to their private area when the customer logs in.

Does this software allow for this?
